Work-Bench
Managing Director
'm co-founder and Managing Director of Work-Bench where I invest in enterprise technology startups. Our current portfolio includes CoreOS, x.ai, Cockroach Labs, Backtrace, VTS, Socure, Tamr, Dialpad (fka Switch Communications), Metric Insights, Oration, vArmour, Context Relevant, APX Labs, Trapezoid, Ravel Law, and Kensho.

Our exits to date include: True Office (acquired by Intercontinental Exchange, NYSE's parent co)

Previously I worked at Morgan Stanley in the Office of the CIO where my team served as conduits to new technology at the firm. I partnered with internal IT to facilitate the selection and on-boarding of emerging technology vendors. Through this role I remained on top of trends in the enterprise IT market and evaluated new offerings from startups in areas such as Big Data Analytics, enterprise mobility, next-gen security, and the consumerization of IT. I also performed financial due diligence on all of the firm's private and public vendors as part of the firm's fed regulated Supplier Risk Management Program.

I started the NY Enterprise Technology Meetup (nyetm.com) in January 2012, and the group currently has over 4,000 members including Fortune 500 technologists, enterprise entrepreneurs, investors, and students. The NYETM is the first meetup group in NYC focused exclusively on enterprise technology company presentations.

I've written guest posts for various publications about enterprise tech including:

1. TechCrunch - "The State of Enterprise Tech in NYC" - http://techcrunch.com/2015/03/08/the-state-of-enterprise-tech-in-nyc/

2. WSJ CIO Journal - "Is Cloud-First the Enterprise Version of Mobile-First?" - http://blogs.wsj.com/cio/2014/02/10/is-cloud-first-the-enterprise-version-of-mobile-first/

I'm a Kauffman Fellow in Class 19.
